free fall bucket list printable

fall is my favorite--it sneaks up on you with crisp mornings that make you duck back in the house for a jacket and then settles in with dark, cozy evenings filled with slow suppers and warm beverages. it's the perfect time for families to come together and create new traditions and lasting memories. to help you embrace all that autumn has to offer, i've illustrated a fill-in-the-blank fall bucket list printable—perfect for customizing with your family’s unique adventures!

why a fill-in-the-blank fall bucket list?

every family has its own special way of celebrating the season, whether it’s an annual trip to the pumpkin patch or cozy nights in with homemade apple cider. this fill-in-the-blank bucket list allows you to tailor your fall activities to fit your family's interests and traditions. it’s an opportunity to get creative and involve everyone in planning out your fall fun.

how to make the most of your fall bucket list

the beauty of a fill-in-the-blank style bucket list is that you can make the filling it in part an event itself. think of it as a way to welcome fall. and, remember, it doesn't have to be elaborate to be special.

1. gather the family: sit down together and brainstorm all the fall activities you’d love to do--add a warm beverage or a cozy snack (or ideally both!). let everyone contribute their ideas, from the littlest to the oldest. dream big, like 'go to a pumpkin patch', medium, like 'take a neighborhood leaf collection walk', and small, like 'have tea and play card games.'

2. fill in your bucket list: write down each activity in the spaces provided. the list is yours to make unique. if there's an activity you do every fall, even if it's not typically considered a 'fall activity', put it on the list! ours definitely includes going to the annual lego robotics competition.

3. display it proudly: hang your family bucket list somewhere everyone can see—on the fridge, in the playroom, or by the front door. it’s a great way to keep track of your ideas and build anticipation for each activity.

4. check off activities: when you complete each activity, check it off the list! don’t forget to capture these moments with photos, or even create a fall scrapbook to look back on in years to come--and include your checked off list for the perfect keepsake.

inspiration for your fall bucket list

need a little inspiration to get started? here are some ideas to consider when filling out your bucket list:

  • check out community events: are there things going on in your community? check your local library, parks department, and schools for any fun events.
  • host a multi-family game night: this is one of our absolute favorite things to do all year, but there's something especially magical about a game night in fall. and it's a great way to connect with other friends in a low-key way.
  • learn or practice a cozy craft: fall is the perfect time for new hobbies, with its long, dark evenings. take up knitting, crochet, or embroidery. or for littler hands, try out punch needle or needle felting (my kiddos favorites).
  • cook through a cookbook: when it's hot, i default to easy meals, but in fall i seem to have a lot more patience to experiment. i love picking up a new or beloved cookbook and cooking my way through it for the season.
  • make artwork from nature: collect materials from nature like leaves, twigs, and stones and craft a lovely piece of art--realistic or abstract.

remember, this bucket list is all about making fall memories that are uniquely yours, not about making the season busier. always put your family values first when crafting your list. autumn is a time to slow down, connect, and enjoy the simple pleasures.
